Aid project in Colombia

Over 500 families in central northwestern Colombia lost their homes in the devastating forest fire that ravaged much of the country!

One of the poorest neighborhoods was constructed on what used to be a garbage dump. As many residents lived in houses made of cardboard, wood, and other fragile materials, they were quickly destroyed in the devastating forest fire.

On the pictures you will see as Helping Hands aid shipment was distributed through Colombia’s National Disaster Department to over 500 families that lost their homes in the forest fire.

The Colombian Air Force with the National Police, Fire fighters, Social services and volunteers were all involved in the distribution of Helping Hands aid shipment.

A heartfelt thank you to all of you who have helped make this project possible.
